Alaska Mill & Feed is a 100% employee-owned pet supply company headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. The company was founded in 1950 by the Donatello family, originally providing cleaners and waxes to local schools. The company has evolved over the years, growing from Don Donatello’s original small-scale operation, into a business that includes Alaska Mill & Feed, a pet and garden wholesale distribution network, and manufacturing facilities for animal feed, fertilizer, and wild bird seed. In 2016, Alaska Mill & Feed became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Currently, the company employs 60 employee owners.
