Maine Drilling & Blasting (MD&B) is an employee-owned company headquartered in Gardiner, Maine. Founded in 1966 by husband and wife team, Ted and Judy Purington, provides drilling, blasting and related specialty services in the New England, Mid-Atlantic, & Southeast areas. Today, the company operates ten locations that covers areas from Maine to Alabama.    In 2004, Maine Drilling & Blasting became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The ownership culture at MD&B is grounded in honesty, respect, fairness, and responsibility. Together, employee owners work to contribute to the shared success of the company.
