SCIPI is a 100% employee-owned company in the automotive industry headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota.  SCIPI was started by two childhood friends, Ken Gross and Earl Buttweiler in 1959. SCIPI has been employee-owned since 1975, when it implemented its ESOP.  Today, SCIPI is an international company that employees 170 team members in six states and Canada.  SCIPI is the parent company to North Central Bus & Equipment, Inc., Monumental Sales, Inc., and Parts Midwest, Inc. North Central Bus & Equipment, Inc. (NCBE), a dealership specializing in the sale and service of Blue Bird school buses, shuttle buses, and medium-duty truck equipment.  2) Monumental Sales, Inc. (MSI), a fabricator of cemetery memorials, granite counter tops and custom limestone products.  MSI has 15 retail stores throughout the upper Midwest.  3) Parts Midwest, Inc. (PMI), an original equipment warehouse distributor of automotive and light-duty truck accessories.
