Stevens Industries is a 100% employee-owned manufacturing company headquartered in Teutopolis, Illinois. In 1956, when its founder, Charles "Chuck" Stevens, began crafting wood products in his father-in-law's two-car garage, Stevens Industries emerged from modest origins. Over time, the enterprise underwent multiple expansions, evolving into a sprawling 360,000 sq ft manufacturing complex across 31 acres.
Today, the company is one of the largest manufacturers of commercial casework and architectural millwork in the United States. Specializing in high-quality casework, architectural millwork, Stevens Industries also offers distinctive lines of laboratory casework and furniture, music and instrument storage, and childcare furniture under various brands, including Stevens Advantage, StevensWood, Tot Mate, I.D. Systems, and Techline America.
In 1998, Stevens Industries became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), when the founder was ready to relinquish his ownership.
