Founded in  1934 as James Thompson & Sons, the company boasts over 85 years of continuous operation. Today, Story Construction  serves a diverse range of markets, including commercial, industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, senior living, places of worship, educational institutions, research facilities, government structures, wastewater treatment plants, and food processing facilities.   In 2022, Story Construction became employee-owned when they established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
