Thrifty White Pharmacy is a 100% employee-owned pharmacy headquartered in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The company is a combination of two companies, White Drug Enterprises founded in 1884 and Thrifty Drug founded in 1957. In 1985 the two combined when White Drug Enterprises was acquired by Thrifty Drug. Thrifty White Pharmacy now has over 90 different locations. Thrifty White Pharmacy became employee-owned in 1992 when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Employee ownership reinforces the company's belief that it's greatest asset is loyal, hardworking people who cooperate in a spirit of teamwork to help the company grow and prosper.
