The company was founded in 1958 by Robert Nichols, Warren Miller, John Clark, Dewain Azevedo, Charles Frybarger, Cloyd Fowler and Ed Edwards and now has 12 different locations across California. West Valley Construction became employee-owned in 1975 when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and were one of the first construction companies in California to implement this structure.
