Westpak is a 100% employee-owned test laboratory headquartered in San Jose, California. In 1986 Herbert and Walter Dunning established the company with the aim of delivering top-tier testing services to high-tech firms in the central California region. Westpak is an independent third-party test laboratory with a specialization in product and package testing. The company's testing facilities hold certifications from the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) for conducting transport-related tests. The fundamental mission of Westpak is to provide the highest quality testing services in an environmentally conscious manner. The transition to employee ownership marked a meaningful gesture from its founder, Herbert Schueneman, as he embarked on retirement.
